About Us

Business Consumer Alliance (BCA) is a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening confidence between businesses and consumers. We empower consumers by resolving disputes, providing transparent business reputation reports, and promoting informed decision-making.

Today, BCA also serves as a strategic partner to contractors, movers, and small business owners by providing essential membership benefits such as contract formation support, arbitration services, complaint resolution assistance, customer review platforms, and complimentary legal guidance.

Together with our members, we advance a fair and accountable marketplace where businesses and consumers succeed.

BCA started operations in 1928. Prior to 2013, BCA operated as the Better Business Bureau of the Southland. The name was changed to allow for an expansion of the services we provide to consumers and businesses, and to broaden our service area from the greater Los Angeles area to North America. BCA maintains its headquarters in Colton, California.

BCA's mission is achieved by assisting consumers in resolving complaints with businesses and using that complaint information, along with other relevant information such as customer reviews, to forecast business reliability. With community support, BCA can identify trustworthy and ethical businesses and warn the public to avoid unscrupulous businesses whose purpose is to defraud the marketplace. BCA also helps business owners by providing services and resources that allow their businesses to grow and thrive.
