ACS Incorporation

This company is a scam debt collection agency that sends out threatening collection letters and emails claiming the recipient have a delinquent loan that must be settled or legal action will taken. The letters are very similar, including the amounts the debtor supposedly owes. ACS is not a collection agency. Complaints allege receiving threatening emails, harassing phone calls threatening legal action if a payment is not made immediately. ACS falsely claims to be a law firm and some representatives hold themselves out to be attorneys, all tactics to intimidate the recipient to send money or release financial or personal information. ACS uses several different phone numbers and email addresses in their rouse, and most names provided in the communications are common names such as Smith, Johnson, or even the names of popular entertainers.

If you receive a call, text, email, or letter from a collection agency and you are unfamiliar with the debt, do not send any money or provide any information until you can verify the debt is true and your responsibility. Debt collectors are subject to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and must abide by the law.
