~ On May 19 2014 the Federal Trade Commission ("FTC") filed a Stipulated Final Order in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California settling charges that Asset Capital and Management Group ("ACMC") extorted payments from consumers using an assortment of deceptive and abusive tactics in collecting on credit card debt violating both the FTC Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

~ The Order imposes judgments totaling 90.5 million. Besides the monetary judgment the Settlement bans ACMC from the debt collection industry in connection with credit repair debt relief mortgage assistance relief or lending services. Upon entry the Order was finalized.
