I registered on line at Eventbrite for the Calumet City Park Picnic they hosted on Saturday on 7/28/2019. Our pass was confirmed for 4 people. When I approached the Woman who was in charge of the check in booth; to inform her we were checking in, she was very rude. Even after I showed her my email confirmation of their event; she began yelling and screaming, threatening to call the police if we didn't leave. I asked for the Manager of C & G Construction hosting the event and she refused to give me her name and said she was the manager. A man approached who didn't introduce himself either and said he was managing the affair and said it's hot out here and it's been a long day. After I told him that our entrance to Picnic was confirmed by Eventbrite via my email; he simply said I'm sorry about this misinformation. Eventbrite is a site that one registers their public events. Also this Picnic was advertised by Calumet City Public Events for this date. Firstly, never falsely advertise a free public event and post it on Eventbrite. Secondly, since it was supposed to be a free Picnic in the park and we were turned away which caused an embarrassment to me and my family; a monetary compensation should be given to us for our pain and suffering. Thirdly: Never hire anyone at the front post who is incompetent to handle the public , yells and screams at them and who does not honor admittance who has verifiable entrance to their event.
