Investigate because this place is a scam

Received call stating they are representing a company that give out loans. This place I never heard of before. I requested this information from them so I could not reach out to these people in question. I was denied info and threatened with litigation and law suit. When I called back, all I was told was that I owed and my partial banking information but nothing else. I kept getting different information. I believed they were fishing for information trying to strong arm me. I looked up this number and sight, they don't say they are a collection agency and only offer number and email. I also seen others have complaints on this company.
