If your bag is over 12" x 12" x 6", then they won't let you in even if you want to show them what's inside. Things that make it worse is that there's no pre-warning or anything before you enter the ticket entry and that's when you find out you can't bring your backpack or purse if it's really big. This especially sucks for those who travel to the theatre not by car because then it's like... what do you do with your bag then??? There's no bag check or anything and then you just waste your movie ticket...???? If anything, at least give other options with what to do with your bag...saw dozens of people buy tickets at the front booth, and then get turned away by the ticket inspectors moments later because they were carrying handbags. Even this seems crazy - why not warn people before they purchased tickets ? This policy also doesn't increase safety at the cinema. As I told their manager, it would still be easy to take a weapon inside using a smaller bag, or carry a small arsenal in under your coat. Worse - although they dont have large signs indicating bags are not allowed inside, the cinema has no signs indicating firearms or other weapons are banned. I think anyone - with good intentions or bad - could carry a concealed gun in. There's literally no sign asking you not too. Overall this felt like a corporate kick in the face. Really, the way this policy was introduced was inconsiderate to the point of feeling abusive.
