Customer Complaint

10/28/2025

I recently terminated my services with this cell phone company, which operates on a month-to-month, no-contract basis. Around September 8th, I decided to end my services due to a broken phone and Cricket Cellular's offer of a free phone. When I spoke with the Consumer Cellular representative, she failed to mention that two bills would continue after disconnection. Instead, she stated that my final bill would be on September 25th, 2025, for which I would still be responsible. However, I was subsequently billed $42.19 on October 25th, 2025. Upon inquiry, a representative from Consumer Cellular informed me that the initial representative had provided incorrect information, and I was liable for an additional bill due to terminating services after the recommended date of September 5th. I was unaware of this date, as it was not clearly explained. In my experience, this company's practices differ from those of Boost Mobile, Cricket, and Metro PC, where terminating services does not result in additional bills due to the lack of contracts. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company in hopes of resolving this matter. In my opinion, Consumer Cellular's business practices are not transparent, and they conceal important details about their services. Resolution Sought A full refund for the month of September!
