To stop trying to cheat customers out of there money and be treated just the same as they treat the customers that are the same race as them

Went to make a purchase for laundry detergent. Xtra detergent was on sale 2 for $5. I purchased one for $2.50. I had a coupon for $1 off of one 75oz or bigger which i had. I got to the register to pay for my items and when it got to the detergent i let the cashier know that i had stuck the coupon to the top of the detergent. Immediately the cashier starts making faces like something was wrong and begins to speak in there language which i don't understand to the manager. He proceeds to come to where we were continuing to speak to each other in their language. He looks at the coupon begins to enter it then tells me that in order for me to use the coupon he has to change it back to regular price which is about $4 and change. Otherwise i couldn't use the coupon because with the coupon i would get the product for cheaper than the sale price. I am 47 years old and have been shopping for a long time so i do know that as long as the coupon is valid he was suppose to honor it regardless of the sale price. I ended up not making the purchase. I also feel like the store manager and most of the employees are racist. There are no other races employed there except for Hispanic and Mexican decent. As far as i know they wont hire any other race. I really feel like something needs to be done to make me and other customers feel more welcome.
