Liars!

I had an implant last year at Eastman Dental last year. I was happy with the work and the doctor who I worked with. My only complaint was when I showed up for one of my appointments and was told it had been the previous week and I had missed it. First of all, if I had missed it, wouldn't someone have called me? And, no one did. Secondly, I had the appointment card in my hand showing the appointment was indeed that day. So, they agreed to "fit me in" since I'd driven an hour and a half to get there. Gee, thanks. Now, let me address why I won't be going back to Eastman Dental. I drove there today, again... an hour and a half one way... for another initial consult for another implant. I was an hour early and checked in, whereupon I was told my appointment had been cancelled because the doctor I was supposed to see had called in sick. Okay, so my response was... fit me in with another doctor! The receptionist's response was to insist she had called me and ask me to show her my call history and to check my voice mail. I told her that I had no voice mail, as she had never called me, and showed her my call history. She then proceeded to act as if I was lying to her, and insisted on calling my phone, asking me what number showed up. Um, Eastman Dental... duh! By then, I was pretty livid and told her I wasn't leaving until someone saw me, based on the fact I had driven almost two hours to get there. She then told me she would see what she could do and stepped behind closed doors with another woman, who I assumed was the office manager. Being that the waiting room was empty, I decided to listen. And, sure enough, I heard the receptionist confess to this woman that she had forgotten to call me. Really??? So, I waited for her to come out of the office and, big surprise, she told me that they would have to reschedule my appointment. At this point, I lost it and began yelling. The "office manager" then came out and asked me to step into her office, which I refused to do. I told her I want to see a doctor. She said it was "impossible" and her hands were "tied" because Dr. Bernard was the only doctor I could see, as she had all my treatment notes on her computer. Huh? She said that she could have her call me the next day to complete my treatment plan. At this point, I questioned that... because if she could go over a treatment plan with me on the phone, what was the point of me being there in person? And, that was not how it happened that last time. My first visit last year, I was put in a chair, examined and radiographs were taken. THEN I was presented with a treatment plan by the finance manager, NOT by the doctor. So, nothing was making sense to me. I told this woman that Dr. Bernard could call me, as it was quite obvious I wasn't going to be seen by anyone. And, I told her I wanted my gas money that I spent deducted off the treatment plan, to which she replied that she would "present that" to the doctor. I then left, or more accurately, stormed out.
