Eco Friendly Remodeling

Eco Friendly is not a trustworthy company.

I signed a contract to have solar panels installed. Several weeks later, I canceled because I was doubtful because the roof had leaks and I started thinking that my roof was not in good enough condition to withstand solar panels. Eco Friendly told me my roof was in excellent condition but I had three independent roofing companies inspect my roof and their decisions were all the same: my roof is in deplorable condition; has three layers of old roof, which is very heavy; and the seams bubble when walked upon. The three roofing companies agreed that the roof cannot sustain solar panels under thee conditions. I have all three inspection reports to support my concerns. I kept telling Eco Friendly I did not not want solar panels because it was not safe to install them and I did not want to work with them because they are unethical. Eco Friendly said that I would have to pay a $4500 cancellation fee and then changed it to a $6000 cancellation fee. It was only after the three inspection reports I received that Eco Friendly offered to perform a partial report where the solar panels would be but I refused that because that is not safe. They then offered to repair the whole roof for an additional $2,000, which means they are not using quality materials and it would not be a professional job. Since Eco Friendly can only install the solar panels after the roof has been repaired, they have to alter the contract, which I do not agree to and voids the contract. Eco Friendly is not a trustworthy company.
