The company purports to process escrow transactions; however, once funds are received, they disappear. One victim lost in excess of $50,000 on a fraudulent transaction. Escrowchalet.com uses the same address as Escrow Chalet Inc., and also uses their DOC license number. They advertise on the Internet. Escrow Chalet does not. The telephone number listed in advertising placed by the imposter is a Riverside County number. The number is answered by a recorded message. The URL for the imposter company is registered to Earl Axis, (believed to be a fictitious name). The address used by the registrant is the address of the Tallahassee, Florida Police Department. Escrow Chalet, Inc. is taking every precaution to safeguard its potential customers. A report has been filed with the Riverside County Sheriff's Office. The report number is L#04268009. If you believe you have been victimized, please report the incident immediately.
