I don't want to be homeless.

I'm writing to let you know about a horrible experience I had with Esperanza homes. I was in the process to close on a house located at 3408 Harvard Avenue, McAllen, TX 78504. Everything went perfect until the Veterans Administration Appraiser came and depreciated the home for $10,000. At that moment the lenders asked me if I could afford to pay that amount. Well, I am a 100 percent disabled veteran (combat related) living off a disability pension so I had to say no. The bottom line is that I ended up saving 7k and was ready to close with that amount to later be informed that the house was put back in the market. I was very excited about that house because I was going to live closer to my children and Esperanza took it from me without notice. Just to let you know, now I am a homeless veteran living in Mexico. 22 veterans die every day from suicide due to actions like this. I just want you to please do something to prevent this to happen again. If it wasn't for people who love me here I might have been another statistic. God bless you all.
