About a week ago I called Executive Inn, in Marlin, TX to reserve a room for a friend arriving for a memorial service. My friend was late coming in due to traffic. I called the hotel to check in and before I could finish telling him who I was, the manager said that there were no more rooms available. I told him who I was & I had previously made reservations, and he came down to the front office. He ask for ID, in which I provided. Then he told me I couldn't get a room because I live local. At this point I'm about to get upset because my friend was exhausted from the long drive from Louisiana to Texas. After all this the manager mention something about you people come in here and smoke in the room. He further went on to charge me a $100.00 deposit , in which the manager told me that there was no deposit when I called in the first time to make the reservation. His broken English wasn't all that clear, but I know when someone is being a racist. I felt embarrassed, frustrated & upset. I like the hotel, it is the nicest hotel we have here in town. That's why my choice is to show a little hospitality to my friends/ guest, while having them stay at THE Executive Inn.
