Unqualified mechanics and non stop excuses from the owner equals expensive damage to your vehicle. Huge mistake! What a night

Our 2003 Nissan Frontier was smog tested. We were told the catalytic converter, oxygen sensor and knock sensor needed to be replaced to pass smog.$750. $500 down and 2 postdated checks for $125ea that I would be bringing cash for. A 3 hr.job turned into 2 weeks without our truck. Excuse #1 O-rings were not replaced with new ones so it caused an exhaust leak. mechanics were blamed. #2Broken head on bolt on manifold.#3 mechanic fired #4 no mechanic available to work on it. Finally after 5 days we picked up the truck only to have the check engine light come ON. Back to shop to reset computer then ON again. Returned to shop to have owner tell me that the OTHER catalytic converter needed to be replaced in order for it to pass smog. After much aggravation and frustration and arguments he returned my postdated checks. He claimed he had lost money on this job. I walked away knowing I had just been cheated! Having paid for a service and smog certificate that was not completed, and worse yet his "repairs" damaged our truck. #1 smell of burning oil when a/c is on. #2temperature gauge not working at all #3idling is not consistent #4 huge hole on catalyst cover (excuse #5 that's what needed to be done to replace the old one)way too many to be a coincidence. (excuse #6 That's how he explained it they were all a "coincidence") I am writing this complaint to warn others of this misleading smog shop. A very expensive lesson learned! Their Reviews sound very similar to my experience. If only I had read them
