The difference is the hyphen in the name. Reports received indicate that this company is attempting to capitalize on the domain name of Federal Escrow, Inc., by using a very similar URL hoping to confuse individuals into channeling money for on-line transactions into their account. As of October 9, 2003, the company's website states that fraudulent activity contained on the site has been stopped by the Romanian Police. The individuals who created and operated this website are located in Romania, Dolj County, city of Craiova. They were identified and are being interrogated. If you were defrauded by people operating this site and wish to file a complaint you may contact the Romanian Police at: General Directorate for Organized Crime and Narcotics Law Enforcement (Directia Generala de Combatere a Crimei Organizate si Antidrog) 3-5 Eforie St., Bucharest, Romania (Ref: Criminal Investigation File No.376202/2003). Please include contact data of the victim and a short description of the fraudulent transaction.
