BCA's Summary and Analysis:

Clients report a pattern of complaint allegations relating to unfulfilled contracts, failure to honor their money back guarantee, misrepresentation of their ability to provide assistance, and lack of communication with customers. Most complainants allege they receive denial letters from lenders and request refunds of retainer fees paid in advance. Clients complain the company generally agrees to issue refunds; however, they fail to follow through and actually send them. In a few cases, refund checks are reported as NSF, or the company's attempts to issue refunds via bank transfers that do not go through. Complainants further allege the company fails to adequately communicate the status of their case, claiming calls are not returned, they are continually assigned to new case managers who know nothing about their case, or are given the run around every time they ask to speak with their attorney. Some clients report that refund requests are denied based on the company's contention they failed to supply requested information, thus, were the cause of the company's failure to modify their loans.

The company responds to most complaints by offering explanations of services performed on behalf of clients; citing reasons for denying refunds, or by agreeing to provide refunds. In some cases, clients disputed that refunds were actually received. Some complaints are unresolved, meaning the company failed to properly address the complaint allegations or their response was inadequate.
