On September 25, 1996 mail sent to the company, was returned by the Post Office marked, refused by the mail box, no longer at this address. Bureau personnel have verified that telephones are also disconnected. California law requires those advertising or engaging in credit repair service register with the Attorney General and post a $100,000 bond. Even if registered, it would be unlawful to collect fees before promised credit repair services were performed. This company is neither registered or bonded. To verify registration and bonding information, consumers may call the Attorney General's office at (916) 322-3360. By law, information stays on your credit report for seven to 10 ten years. Accurate negative information can only be removed with the cooperation of the creditor, which usually involves paying the debt. In some cases, while in dispute, the credit bureau may remove negative items from your credit file, but in the event that those items are verified as valid by the credit bureau they will be reinstated on your credit file. Any company offering to assist you in modifying, correcting, or improving your credit report may not take money in advance before performing services, for any reason, even as a deposit. Also, the services must be performed within 6 months of the contract date and the contract must contain a five day cancellation clause as required by law. The contract must also include a detailed list of the specific services to be performed. If you believe your credit report contains erroneous information, you may dispute the entry by calling or writing to the credit reporting agency.
