Description: On September 13, 2013, the Connecticut Department of Banking ("CDB") filed a Cease and Desist and Restitution Order against Forest Law Group, PLC aka Forest Law Group ("FLG"). Based on their investigation, the CDB determined FLG engaged in acts or practices in violation of the Connecticut General Statutes. The violations include, but were not limited to: engaging in debt negotiation without obtaining the required state license; receiving monies in excess of the maximum fee limits.

According to the CDB, FLG were not licensed by the CDB in any capacity to solicit, engage, or accept monies for debt negotiations. The Cease and Desist Order prohibits FLG from performing any acts within the State of Connecticut that violate Connecticut General Statutes and ordered to pay restitution.

Description: In April, 2014, the California Supreme Court ("CSC") filed an Order against Mark Bryson Repogle ("Repogle"), individually. Based on their investigation, the SBC determined that Repogle was in violation of California, South Carolina, and Minnesota statutes and/or Rules of Professional Conduct. The violations include, but not limited to; offering and/or providing legal services in South Carolina and Minnesota without the required licensing; charging illegal fees for loan modification services.
On April 29, 2014, the CSC ordered suspension and probation of Repogle's California State Bar License; continued education; and restitution.
