Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) Explained The Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) is an indicator on how responsive a company is in addressing and resolving customer complaints brought to their attention by BCA. On July 11, 1994, we asked this company to supply a detailed explanation of services offered, supportive information and copies of appropriate licensing. We have no record of a response. As part of its services, this company offers to create a new credit file, using a system known as credit file segretation. To implement a credit file segregation, consumers are advised to use a federal tax ID number in place of their social security number for all credit and financial purposes. We urge caution! Credit file segregation is illegal, and anyone participating may be violating state and federal laws. This company has not complied with California law requiring registration with The Attorney General and posting of a $100,000 bond. This same law prohibits collecting fees before promised services are performed. By law, information stays on your credit report for seven to 10 years. Accurate negative information can only be removed with the cooperation of your creditors, and this usually involves paying the debt.
