We believe this company is required to register with the California Attorney General as a telemarketer and post the required bond. The company has not registered as of May 1, 1999. This company sells golf clubs by allowing recipients to test the clubs without obligation for a period of 45 days. Customers are asked to pay a deposit on a major credit card prior to receiving the clubs. Complaints generally allege refunds are not provided after the clubs are returned, refusal to reverse credit card charges on cancelled orders, and misrepresentation regarding the date the credit cards would be processed. By law, consumers have 60 days from the billing date to dispute the charge with the credit card company. After the 60 day period, a charge cannot be reversed unless the seller consents. If the order is cancelled, we suggest that the product be returned in sufficient time to permit a credit card dispute to be filed.
