Further, addresses are usually mail drops, advertised phone numbers only reach recordings, and no local phone numbers are listed. Most also advertise out of state. Complaints against this type of company generally allege that once money is sent, respondents are advised to place the same kind of ads in their own papers. In other cases, the people hear nothing at all from the company. In almost all cases, it is impossible to obtain refunds in spite of promises and guarantees to the contrary.
