Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) Explained The Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) is an indicator on how responsive a company is in addressing and resolving customer complaints brought to their attention by BCA. I want people to be warned against unscrupulous businesses,

Recently I had a clogged condensation line from my air-conditioner. I was referred to Hedrick, They came out and unstopped the drain line, I was charged 266.00. They said I needed all new duct work, and gave me an estimate of 5500.00 for 6 ducts. I am a senior with disabilities, and couldn't pay this amount, so I got another estimate from A#1 Air. Their estimate was 3700.00. This is for 7 ducts . I didn't use either one of these businesses, And did find a reputable company that did the work for 900.00. I could have gone into debt for 5 years, and these scammers gave me these prices without blinking an eye. I feel the consumers need to be warned against these businesses, and seniors should be given a help line number for repairs without fear of being taken advantage of. I like most of the seniors I know are on a fixed income, These people use a type of scare tactics to get seniors to go into debt without thinking, also they tell you if you don't sign the papers to do the job that day, prices will go up.
