This firm claims to act as a go between for clients and lenders, purported to be Swiss Banks. According to company literature, loan applicants must incorporate in Ireland, choose an available Irish name, and bank with Barclays Bank, Gurnsey, Channel Islands. Reportedly loan closing is to occur no later than 45 days after $45,317 is paid, with $27,500 refunded at closing, or a full refund if no loan commitment is obtained. Security is required, but for an additional $5,000 to $10,000 fee, an unnamed associate funding group is claimed to arrange for such collatteral. A nonrefundable $200 application fee is required to obtain documents to sart the funding process. This company is not a lender; nor is it licensed to engage in any lending activities. It has not registered with the California Attorney General or posted the required $100,000 bond. Even if licensed, it would be unlawful to collect fees before services were performed. We urge extreme caution. Our experience with similar offers indicates loans are seldom if ever made; and refunds are difficult if not impossible to obtain in spite of any promises to the contrary. Added to the complexity of this offer is the fact that all purported lenders are out of the country.
