I'd like for them employees to be held accountable so they'll never treat customers that way again.

Pulled up to get oil change and the signs indicating they're open were on and visible. I went to walk into store to purchase an oil change and they left me standing at the locked front door for about 15 minutes as they continued to work on cars. Its extremely frigid this afternoon and someone could've came to help us instead of watching us stand there. Then after the 15 minutes someone finally came due to the annoyance of my knocking and rudely stated they'll get with me after finishing their cars. I understand there is work to be done but we weren't checked in or anything. We were only told to sit in our vehicle and they'll get with us when they're done. Never stated how long until we could be seen for an oil change and then proceeded to slam the bay door in frustration. I am extremely agitated as to my experience at 5859 Pendleton Pike Lawrence, Indiana. The time is currently 12:24 and under no circumstances should the customer's access door should be locked. I understand you're busy but you still have to uphold standards to all customers. Not just the ones who are already in the bay. I understand your busy, but at least give us an estimated time we can be seen. We should be able to pay and then have the info as to how long it will take before we are next. I've been a store manager plenty of places and that is bad business ethics. I will never come back to this place at anytime and I will spread the word about my horrible experiences due to laziness or what have you.

Comments and Analysis

California law affords you certain rights when you have repairs made to your automobile. Repair shops are required to display a sign informing you of these rights. They include, for example, the right to a written repair estimate, to a detailed invoice of labor and parts, and to the return of any parts replaced, provided you request the return at the time you order the work and provided that your warranty does not require that the be returned to the manufacturer.

A repair service may not perform repairs beyond those listed in the estimate without your authorization. However, if they have to tear down a component to give you an estimate, you may have to pay for the labor to tear it down and reassemble it. You will know beforehand, though, what the charge for that will be. You should never sign a blank work order, and a reputable dealer will not ask you to.

For businesses outside of California, please check with the agency that regulates this industry.
