I felt so threatened that he was going to hit me. And this behavior escalated out of nowhere. I was completely shocked and taken off guard.
I visited the dealership 10/31/20. I emailed prior to arriving to test drive one specific car. I was so excited to purchase what I would consider my first "adult " car. So when it came to the financing I had a trade in, cash down and good credit. I then met Chris Copeland the financial liason. He wrote me up a deal, which I counter offered. Then Chris came back with an another deal I liked, until he walked me outside to look at the car again I realized it was not on the car I came to look at or test drive. I was so confused, and he began to get so angry when I told him I wasn't interested in this other car. Chris continued to humiliate me by yelling in my face that I couldn't afford the car I wanted(which I very well can) And I mean in my face he was standing on a step above me towering over me yelling with his hands in my face. I felt so threatened that he was going to hit me. And this behavior escalated out of nowhere. I was completely shocked and taken off guard. I stood there holding back tears as he yelled and got more aggressive. I couldn't help to think that if I had not come alone I wouldn't be getting bullied, intimidated or insulted this way . All this happened while other salesmen were watching and no one stepped in!! I was honestly very scared. I'm tough I'm a ER nurse I can take loud and rude but this man made me feel so small and scared. It made me question myself and think that as a women it wasn't safe for me to car shop alone.
