Comments and Analysis

This company offers information on wealth building opportunities in the real estate business via infomercials and various internet sites. Those who purchase the basic start-up package for $39.99 are eligible for a free 30 day trial of “John's Unlimited Access on Demand Hotline Advisory Service;” and John’s monthly TeleSeminars. The free offer is presented with a negative option cancellation clause. This means that if you do not cancel the free service within 30 days you will automatically be enrolled in the 14 Days to Real estate Riches Club for a charge of $39.95 per month.~~Usually materials sent with the product or service will allow a specified time period for cancellation and return without penalty or obligation. However many overlook pre-purchase advisories and are unaware of the charge until their next monthly credit card statement. In some cases consumers find they are unable to contact the company to arrange cancellations returns or ask for credit resulting in unauthorized credit card charges. Most credit card issuers will allow the cardholder 60 days to dispute an unauthorized or inaccurate charge. Review your monthly statement carefully. If you discover a charge which is unfamiliar investigate and dispute the amount with your card issuer as soon as possible to protect yourself from making unwanted purchases.
