Dishonest and very poor quality of work

My situation with this company is still ongoing. Hired him after the flood August 2016. After numerous attempts to get a copy of license and insurance information, I now found out that he was deceptive and didn't have one during the time he worked on my home. He refuses to give me a copy of the contract he says he has which is also a lie cause he never gave us one to sign. We went off the the footprint from the insurance company which was agreed that would be followed accordingly. His quality of work was really poor. He makes excuses for everything he did wrong which is a list a mile long. Doesn't know how to cut and lay tiles, backsplash, plumbing, horrible painting, walk in shower holds water and tiles are cracking had to buy a shower door because he said wasn't included to just use a shower curtain! Things aren't level so he rigs them with wood blocks under or around mistakes and that's just to name a few. I always believed that businesses do wonderful on word of mouth from prior work but this guy could care less about it. I would never recommend this company! Unfortunately I had to keep him because he had my money and couldn't start over. I'm having another contractor come in to give me estimate on everything that needs to be completed and on fixing everything he did wrong. Will inform you on damages soon.
