Got personally referred. Got quoted $1300 for 3 things. Got a $1300 bill for 2 things.

I want to start this review by stating that I had high hopes for this contractor as I heard about them in person from a community member I trusted. After calling many electricians in my area, Loosbrock was one of the few that actually gave me a quote. My original quote was for rewiring a sump pump to be on its own breaker which included installing a bigger breaker box as my current one could not fit it, installing a light after fixing a wire nest of 6 pairs of 3 wires going to a single light receptacle, installing 3 lights to replace a single light fixture for a room and correcting wiring for two light from being always on to being on a single light switch. All of this was quoted to me $1300 in 2025. I left extensive notes for Loosbrock's receptionist, but that did not reach the electricians that did not do the work, so I had to re-explain to them the exact work that needed to be done and some small details. Understandable I guess. I was also told that since the breaker the sump pump was on was not tripping, that didn't need to be rewired. That alone would cost me $1000-2000 according to this different electrician. After the contractors completed their work, I excitedly inspected it when I came home. What I discovered was a rats nest of 6 pairs of wires still together, but with a LED light added that I provided as well as an electrical splice dangling a foot from one of the lights they worked on. Their response? "The wires didn't need to be fixed." "We don't use those wire nuts. Fixing that is a new job. Would you like to schedule?" To top it off, for doing the bare minimum of work including not touching the sump pump, which mind you I was originally quoted $1300 including that, my final bill will be $1300. I am forced to conclude that my measly $1300 job was too small for Loosbrock Electric to care about me. I will unfortunately have to have the same negative perception of contractors as someone else I know since honest and true contractors are harder to find than a diamond in the rough, despite asking local people that I trust. Conclusion. If you have a large job of $5000 or higher, go ahead and hire Loosbrock as they will bother to give you a quote. Just don't count on all the work being completed correctly unless you somehow got a signed work order and watched them from the start to the finish. This also requires you to have at least some background knowledge in electrical. But aren't the professional supposed to do a professional job? They have a professional exorbitant bill at least.
