Poor customer service!

During the hours of closing time (5pm) Susan Rios the front desk lady was having trouble reading a few words on the repair order sheet that was dropped off by one of the employees. She asked the employee "what does this say this?! I cant understand what this says?!". The employee responded with the same answer each time. " I don't know what to tell you, I wrote down what Elaine ( the boss) told me to put down"... Susan kept fussing with the employee and the employee kept giving the same answer over and over. She felt as if the employee was trying to argue with her. So she acted as if she had enough and said she was going to talk to Elaine.( Keep in mind. The is all happening in front of customers and employees and on top of that the bosses office is right next to the front desk. ) the second she got up everyone already knew and made faces as if oh here she goes again starting drama. She goes into the boss's office and they exchanged comments and I'm not sure what those comments were but she came back out and continued to fuss at the employee and continued with I don't understand what this means?! (my guess is Elaine probably told her that she did not ask the employee to write any of that of what was written on the repair order sheet. ) this isn't proper English?! you need to write proper English?! this is America?! I live in America?! and you need to write proper English?! There isn't enough characters for me to continue. Have the front desk lady Susan take a CS course.

Comments and Analysis

California law affords you certain rights when you have repairs made to your automobile. Repair shops are required to display a sign informing you of these rights. They include, for example, the right to a written repair estimate, to a detailed invoice of labor and parts, and to the return of any parts replaced, provided you request the return at the time you order the work and provided that your warranty does not require that the be returned to the manufacturer.

A repair service may not perform repairs beyond those listed in the estimate without your authorization. However, if they have to tear down a component to give you an estimate, you may have to pay for the labor to tear it down and reassemble it. You will know beforehand, though, what the charge for that will be. You should never sign a blank work order, and a reputable dealer will not ask you to.

For businesses outside of California, please check with the agency that regulates this industry.
