Store owner should be notified and fined( if allowable ) and to forbid this kind of practice.

My wife and I sat at the table waiting for our order to be made and this couple came into the restaurant deli and she placed her order to the gal and seconds later. She went back behind the deli counter and prepared her own order without washing hands or putting food service gloves on. Then she was done wrapping her own meat as she finished slicing her meat and cheese wrapped. It. Put it in a bag and I asked her why is she went back behind the counter without washing your hands or placing gloves on her hand, handling the meat and cheese you just sliced up? She replied by justifying herself. "Well I am a worker here and I just cut up my own order anyway." (She was a paying customer.) I said, "But you just handled the meat and cheese without washing hands or putting on gloves. Everyone in the restaurant witnessed what we said including the workers. We then looked at each other (my wife) and said let's go. We canceled our order and paid for my drink and we left by telling the waiting customers and the gal at the register. What this lady had done. This is not a sanitary condition allowing public people to go back behind the counter to serve your self. It's not a healthy condition for anyone to be subject to. Who knows what she has handled or touched before she walked in. Her unwashed hands is still on that chunk of meat and cheese she left for the deli to use up.
