While performing service of chimney cleaning, the technicians 1. broke the kick plate on my cellar door 2. turned off the furnace during cleaning but failed to turn it back on, nor tell me it was off 3. they broke the latch plate to the cellar door, clearly by just pushing a door open without unlatching it. I am an elderly widowed woman with significant vision problems. I didn't know what to do when my hot water no longer was hot. After a service call to the furnace/oil company, their visit brought to my attention that the furnace had been turned off. I also needed to call a handyman to fix the kickplate and door latch. I contacted customer service for this business and the woman responding said "you can't prove the technicians did that". She offered to have me submit my complaint with a corresponding bill for the service call to the oil company to be considered. She didn't offer anything for the handyman. She stood by they did nothing wrong. Poor customer service. Improve customer service.
