I couldn't give NorthStar a higher rating than perfect!
It's been almost 4 weeks since our move. Your guys were nothing less than terrific. Both loading and unloading were done professionally, happily, and with great care. They were polite and willing to help. Details were important. They even informed me of cobwebs under furniture so I could vacuum before placement. It was lovely to have the same crew for both legs. They knew us and our stuff. Thank you for arranging it that way. Ron, my time with you, in person and via email, was comforting as all the details were aligned. I appreciate your interest in my move, responding quickly and arranging for the many facets of your provided services. I also appreciated the max price estimate. When moving it's critical to know the cost so that the budget can me maintained. This was very important and NorthStar delivered. I couldn't give NorthStar a higher rating than perfect. Thank you, Ron, and thanks to your crew!

We suggest that consumers insist on a written binding estimate in advance of the move. With a binding estimate, the actual moving costs may not exceed the estimate. Be certain that the estimate is very specific concerning the goods to be shipped. It is advisable to purchase additional valuation for lost or damaged goods since the statuatory liability is only .60 cents per pound. If you obtain a non-binding estimate and you are moving between states (interstate) and the final invoice exceeds the estimated amount, customers are required to pay only 10% over the original estimate when the goods are delivered, with a balance due in 30 days. You can file a complaint or verify licensing by writing to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration located at 1200 New Jersey Avenue SE, Washington, DC 20590, or calling (800) 832-5660 or visiting their website at www.safer.fmcsa.dot.gov.This company advised our office that there is another business who is currently using a name similar to theirs. The name of the company is Northstar Van Lines with locations in Van Nuys California Florida and Arizona. Northstar Van Lines is not affiliated with Northstar Moving Corporation. Northstar Moving Corporation is in the process of taking legal measures to cease the use of their protected trademark.
