Questionable business ethics and POOR cust. service

One need only look at the number of complaints on-line against Nuance to know they have a problem which they refuse to address. There moto must be "If we ignore the problem (maybe) it will go away". And this is nay the tip of the iceberg. How many people don't take the time to fill out a complaint? I hope to assist other (potential) users so here goes. In my instance, I purchased directly from Nuance Dragon Dictate v4.0. I was unable to install the application on my Mac. While at an Apple store I was shown blemishes on the disc which likely made the disc unreliable and unreadable. I have spent 28 minutes in discussion with Nuance only to become frustrated with their process. Now I am in cue for tech support and Ive been waiting for another 15 minutes while I file this complaint. All I'm asking for is a replacement disc but Nuance makes everything very difficult. I can see from other complaints this is a habit with Nuance. After receiving my damaged disc and seeking a phone number to call ( not on the instructions or product) I found their customer support charges $20 for every phone call after 90 days. From customer reviews, blogs, and their own forum this is a problematic software to begin with. Rather than support their products they gouge the customer further by charging for support of a problematic/substandard product. I question whether I want to do business with a company like Nuance. Maybe returning the product would be better than buying into what is sure to be less than a mutually beneficial relationship.
