Dishonest and clueless contractor

The worst decision we ever made was hiring Chris Nelson to do our kitchen renovation. He estimated 4-6 weeks to complete and it took over 6 months of constant aggravation to get him to finish the job. He would leave the state for weeks at a time. I filed a complaint with the state contractors board and he currently has a warning on his license. He installed kitchen cabinets that were damaged and defective. When he finally ordered replacement cabinets he underhandedly called the cabinet distributor and changed the address to have them shipped to his in-laws house. He then refused to install them or return them until he received his 5% final payment prior to completing the job. He would not respond to any of our phone calls or emails and had the nerve to have his attorney send us empty threats in an attempt to bully us. Almost, a year later we are still dealing with the aftermath of his incompetence and lack of ethics. He installed two windows in our kitchen that are leaking after a few days of light rain. I could go on forever about what a horrible experience this has been, Chris Nelson is unskilled, dishonest and your worst renovation nightmare come true.
