Purchased an item and Queen City Med Mart Inc. refused to honor a cancellation request a few hours later on the same day..

Consumers! Beware! Queen City Med Mart Inc. has an ordering and return policy that I feel is unfair and unacceptable. This company's policy reminds me of the Eagle's Song "HOTEL CALIFORNIA." You can check in anytime you like, but you can NEVER leave. I placed an order by phone and had to cancel a few hours later on the same day. It was Friday. I was assured it would be cancelled on Monday since the office was closed for the weekend. I received an e-mail on Tuesday that the order I cancelled was on the way and will be delivered on Wednesday. I immediately made phone calls and sent an e-mail on Tuesday explaining that order was supposed to have been cancelled. Queen City Mart Inc. shipped it out anyway. It was returned to them the next day (Thursday) unopened. I paid $63.85 postage for an order that I could not cancel. I did not know that it was their return policy. Also, they can charge you a $25.00 restocking fee. Thank goodness for Discover for retrieving my payment for the unwanted equipment. They have an excellent policy to discourage consumers to return their products. I have paid return postage for shoes that did not fit or etc., but never for an item I felt forced to receive and keep. I wish that I had researched their policies before ordering. YOU CAN BUY IT ANYTIME YOU LIKE, BUT YOU CAN'T CANCEL IT A FEW HOURS LATER WITHOUT PENALITY.
