Our home was flooded with Cat 3 flood water from Hurricane Ian and we had 10-22 in of water in our house . We hired 1 800 Water Damage to remediate our house and they were suppose to remove everything 4' and under in our house including cabinets, tile, tub, toilets and walls. They were then suppose to clean, sanitize and spray for bacteria and mold with FEMA approved products in the entire house including the garage, sunroom and enclosed front porch. They did remove the cabinets, walls and bath tub. They did not remove the toilets to clean or the tile in either of the 2 bathrooms. They never touched the garage, sunroom or enclosed front porch. The panels in the sunroom have insulation behind them and 18 inches of Cat 3 flood water sat in that room for 12 hours. They took the outside hose and wet down the walls and then set up fans for a few days. The never cleaned, sanitized or sprayed any of the house. They removed their fans late at night and never came back to clean. The owner stated they were done and expected the balance of his payment. We told him we would after they completed the cleanup. He said it was completed and he wanted his money or he would take a lien on our house. He didn't send a bill and we received a letter from an attorney stating the lien was taken on our house and they expected payment, including the attorney fees, in 15 days or they will put our house for sale in public auction. It will be $12000 for another company to complete. Resolution Sought Either come back with another crew to complete the job or let me bring another company in to complete and subtract the amount from their bill. I have lots of pictures of the current condition of the house and a detailed quote from another company to complete.
