I lived at Skyview apartments in Killeen Texas 76549, While living at these apartments I used the electric company 4 change energy. My lease was up at Skyview apartments September 31st 2023. I have since moved to another complex the day of move out I told the electric company to turn off the electricity at that complex and turn on the electricity at the new apartment we currently reside in. They said they took care of it and we believed them based on our electric coming on at our new place and the bills only being for the place we currently live. Today December 31st they contacted us about a 417.63$ bill from October 4th through October 20th 2023. While we didn't live there they didn't turn off the electricity and let the complex use it under our name. They told us despite having on record that we moved and request it be turned off that day we still have to pay the amount for the electricity the complex used because it had already been added to our bill. I have proof of our move out day we have the lease, and the bills being charged to our new complex. I didn't use that electricity they know we moved the Skyview apartments should be paying the bill for the apartment that they own our lease was up in September I don't see how I am legally liable for a bill I didn't create. Resolution Sought I would like for the bill to be sent and oyed to the correct person it's debted to I do not live there I didn't use the electricity, they knew I wanted it shut off it's not on me that they didn't do there job.
