I work for Mesquite ISD. I have been harassed and scammed out of my money from A & B Muffler Plus Auto Repair in Mesquite Texas. I went to have a repair done and I was offered sexual advances by the owner. I informed the repair shop that I had a brake job done on April 7th 2023. They assured me that I need new brakes and rotors. I asked to make sure because I had brakes done about two weeks prior to bring in my car to them. He said that was a problem period he didn't drive my car to see or anything. I'm no mechanic I don't know about the work period he charged me $416 for the repairs after I paid him he made sexual verbal advances towards me. A week later I noticed the same sound with my car I took it back to him he was very rude however he told me to bring it back up there on Monday May 8th 2023 and that he would fix the problem. I brought it back only for him to tell me that he was going to charge me if he found something else. He scammed me out of my money because he made an assumption without driving my car doing a diagnostic or anything. I mentioned to him of what he said, he became very rude. I mentioned the sexual advances that he made to me and how he made me feel uncomfortable, he gave me my keys back and told me that he wasn't looking at my car and for me to leave the property. I called the police and wanted to file a harassment complaint only for them to tell me that it was the owner property and that he could say whatever he wanted. Resolution Sought I want a refund.

Company states: The work was completed and parts were paid for. There are no refunds. We changed the brakes because they were scrapping. The brakes that were put on were very cheaply made. The customer was informed after that her suspension sounded like it needed work done. She wanted thousand dollar job done for free or shall I say the $416. She paid, but that is not how it works. We already did the brakes for cheaper because she was crying how she did not have the money. Also, the only "sexual" advance that was made was when the owner blew a kiss and asked her to marry him, as she smiled and laughed.
