On 11/3/2021, we signed a contract with A. Christian Glass & Mirror to install high impact hurricane windows and sliding door for a total of $10,615.60. We gave them a 50 deposit of $5,307.80 on that date and the balance to be paid upon completion of job. In the course of installing the sliding doors at the terrace entrance from the liviing room, one of the workmen caused a rip in the screen at the terrace enclosure and broke the control box that regulates the fan in that room. Please be aware that we are on the 7th floor of a condo building and the screens on the terrace have been installed from the outside so it woud be a rather expensive proposition for us to replace these screens. We were promised via emails and phone calls on several occasions that these damages would be taken care of to our satisfaction. Days went into weeks and weeks into months and as of May 5, 2022, we stopped receiving all communications with A. Christian Glass. At that point I found it fitting to hold the balance payment in dispute with my credit card company until such time that the repairs are effected to my satisfaction. The credit card company (Citi Bank) was a big disappointment. They really never kept me abreast of their efforts to remedy this problem. I even asked for some proof that they contacted the vendor and what their response was but they never satisfied that request and just said that there's nothing they can do to help me. Resolution Sought I would like repairs done to my satisfaction or the value of what it would cost me to get someone to make those repairs. I have all documents and correspondence with A. Christian Glass and Citi Bank and I can make it available to you at any time you request it.
