Have paid Albert over 35k over the past 3 years to rebuild barrage some went to tearing down walls that first contractor put up that wouldn't pass, and some landscaping and a roof on my house. The rest went towards the 30x40 garage and cement pad. We signed a contract July 2022 with all the details of the required work, the work he already performed, his estimate, and the agreement between me and him that he would lay the concrete and in 7 days when concrete cured he would be back to build the garage, install 3 windows, one 7x16 garage door one 8x10 garage door, walk in door, the roof metal including edge and ridge metal and paper the sides of the garage cause I am doing siding myself. He also has to build a concrete ramp in front of both garage doors. After that is fully complete I would give him the rest of his 42k estimate which is 7290. He laid cement said he'd be back in 7 days and hasn't been back since. I call and he ignores my calls I stop by his house and he's not home. Sometimes I get him to answer he tells me he's behind he'll be there in 2 weeks and never shows. I feel he's already spent the money so now he doesn't want to show up to do the work. I trusted him he swore I could but this is where I'm at. It cost me 6k to sue the first guy that put up the garage walls and ran off with the money and built it wrong and I'm trying to avoid that. I either want him to show up and do work or my 19030 back. Have contract, agreement, estimate, and every check paid to him. Resolution Sought Want him to show up and do work as agreed on professional quality or if he can't do that I want my remaining 19,030 back asap.
