Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) Explained The Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) is an indicator on how responsive a company is in addressing and resolving customer complaints brought to their attention by BCA. If they are considering doing business with the company, consumers can use this indicator to forecast the likelihood of having their issues addressed if a problem arises. CRI measures the company's customer satisfaction abilities through BCA’s complaint mediation process.

A variety of factors are considered when calculating CRI. This includes how quickly a company responds to complaints, the number of complaints against a company, whether the company addressed complaint allegations, and the outcome of the complaints. CRI is just a subset of the overall rating for the company. AAA used unclear deceptive practices when I called in 2020 for trailer services. I formed the representative that my husband has a closed and an open trailer for landscaping services and had tire issues and wanted to know if AAA covered I was told yes so I ordered the service to be added to my membership. I was charged $37 a year for that service and in 2023 it went up to $38. On June 21st 2023 my husband was broke down on the highway with his trailer and he called AAA they informed him they do not cover trailers despite us paying for the service which they state we have RV service only. I filed a complaint on that day with AAA and was told I will receive a call back from a supervisor within 7-10 business days. That never happened I am the primary member on the AAA membership and I added my husband to the service a few years ago. Beginning of July 2023 my husband stated AAA called him and said that he will be reimbursed some money now that he canceled the membership. I was the one who canceled the membership and I was the one requesting a call back from the supervisor in regards to my complaint because I wanted to dispute the $37 for RV service that did not cover trailer service for the four years I had that membership. On July 5th I canceled my entire AAA membership which I was paying $176 a year which went up from 169 last year and the previous years. I was a member with AAA for 25 years. Resolution Sought My desired outcome is to be reimbursed for the four years I had RV service that never truly covered trailer service as I was told it did that would be a total of $149.
