I met Mr. Joseph Greene jr. He said he was a contractor. I asked him if he can build a screened in patio. A place where my wife can relax since she had approx. 14 surgeries due to her Cancer. He said yes. He came over to my residence and measured and will get back to me with an estimate. We arranged to meet at Hooters in Brandon. At that time he made me sign on the estimate and told me he requires an up front amount of $2,750.00 . Which is 50 of the estimate . I gave him $2,750.00 in cash. A few days later he came and started digging the backyard . He spent 3hrs per day for 2 days. He then told me that his son made a mistake with the estimate and he will furnish another one. The second one turned out to be $15,000.00. I then told him that I cannot afford that and I would like a refund. I called and pleaded with him. Now the backyard is all dug up and work is halted. He told me that he will give me a refund but, it will take some time. His son , Mr Alexander Barahona. I have lost all contact with him. I feel I have been taken advantage of since I am a senior citizen. I asked an attorney ,Mr. Gabbert to send a letter. I have not heard anything about that. I would appreciate it If this office could obtain a refund. Resolution Sought I would like a full refund of $2,750.00 From Mr. Joseph Greene jr. This has been going on for almost 2 months. I am unable to reach out to him.
