Shady salesman, misleading website. You won't get your item for advertised price.
This email to customer service sums up their business practices. Let me explain exactly what the inconvenience was. As you'll see in your records, I placed an order with your company for a Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary Lens for Nikon F, listed price of $759.00. I received a call from your salesman Jeff informing me that if I wanted the "retail version" that includes lens caps, a lens hood and a lens case It would be an additional charge. After Jeff hedged around the price a bit when I asked how much he finally informed me I'd have to pay $896.00. He advised me that B & H Photo sells the lens for "like a thousand dollars, like eleven hundred." He continued to tell me as I objected to being charged for parts that normally come with a lens that "the hood alone on Sigma's website is two hundred dollars", he stated that I "would be foolish to purchase the lens elsewhere" when I expressed my dissatisfaction with your companies sales tactics. I did check Sigma's website and the cost for a lens hood for that lens is $31.00 not the $200.00 Jeff quoted me. They don't sell the lens caps for this lens individually nor do they carry a case for the lens individually either. Just for comparison I did find caps and a case that if I purchased all three of these items elsewhere would cost me about $65.00 not the nearly $140.00 additional I was quoted by Jeff.Your salesmans tactics are clearly misleading, harassing and fraudulent. Your website is misleading showing both the caps and lens hood in the photos available for the item. If company offers a retail and non retail version of the lens they should be listed individually, if you sell the caps and hood they should be listed in the accessories selection with the filters etc. If your company won't honor the price shown for the item and the caps and hood as shown you are clearly using bait and switch to lure customers in and charge higher prices. If zero stars were an option they'd get zero
