I am a resident of the State of Georgia, who recently was informed that Cenlar the loan subservicing provider for my home's mortgage company (Academy Mortgage Corporation); for the past four years had applied a higher mortgage interest rate to my mortgage; than what was quoted and agreed upon initially when my mortgage was modified in the year '2018. Cenlar FSB/ Academy Mortgage Company have not treated me as a consumer fairly, and there is no transparency in repairing this issue, so much inconsistency in their communication, they are setting me up for failure, and I need your help in the resolution of this problem/deception. The initial problem was discovered when I attempted to make a payment on my mortgage last month (April 2022). On April 14, 2022, I logged into the Academy Mortgage Corporation's online website to make my monthly mortgage payment as usual. I soon realized that I was locked out of the customer's payment portal and received a message that read; "Please Contact Customer Support. Your account status is limiting your access to additional information." On April 14 2022 @1732 EST, I then called customer service at 1-866-856-1460. I spoke with an agent named Justin/or Justice (who identified himself with an employee ID #8976). I explained to him the problem that I experienced when attempting to make my usual monthly payment. He informed me that there was an error related to my mortgage rate and that they were working on resolving it. He ad Resolution Sought I would like for Academy Mortgage Corporation to assist in resolving the error that Cenlar their loan subservicing provider made with my mortgage rate, keep the amount at $1,510.76, and stop fluctuating as they have been doing since April '2022.

We, Academy Mortgage Corporation (Academy), appreciate the opportunity to respond to Ms. Ricks' complaint. Ms. Ricks has asked that her monthly mortgage payment amount be $1,510.76 instead of $2,463.66. We have reviewed Ms. Ricks account and determined that the monthly payment amount reflected in her June 2022 statement is accurate. The statement details Ms. Ricks' June 2022 payment as follows: Principal $363.74, Interest $923.95, and Escrow $1,175.97 ($439.32 County Tax, $252.08 Homeowners Insurance, $188.75 Mortgage Insurance, $295.82 Escrow Shortage Collection) for a total payment of $2,463.66. Ms. Ricks should direct any follow up questions to Seth Finlinson, Associate General Counsel, at (801) 256-5468.

Academy Mortgage Corporation/ Cenlar have failed to mention the mortgage payment that I made on April 14, 2022 in the amount of $1,510.76. That mortgage payment was made because, Academy Mortgage Corporation/ Cenlar representative informed me that this was my new monthly mortgage payment amount after their error was corrected. They accepted that mortgage payment and sent me a receipt of confirmation to acknowledge payment, and never disputed said payment. They are now changing the amount and intentionally neglecting to admit that the transaction in the amount of $1510.76 ever occurred. They are stating in their response that “I’m asking that my monthly payment amount be $1,510.76 instead of $2,463.66.” I did not pull the amount of $1,510.76 out of thin air. Academy Mortgage Corporation/ Cenlar’s representative quoted that amount and received the amount for my April ‘2022 mortgage payment. Academy Mortgage Corporation/ Cenlar need to be transparent and address the reason for the change in the amount of $1,510.76 paid on April 14, 2022; now suddenly changed to $2,463.66 in May ‘2022. . I need Academy Mortgage Corporation/Cenlar to also correct the falsely reported “late paymen

Between May 15, 2022, and June 30, 2022, we, Academy Mortgage Corporation (Academy), have received a series of complaints filed by Ms. Ricks (Borrower). We have thoroughly researched and fully addressed the issues that Borrower identified in her complaints. We addressed the mistake that was made regarding Borrower's interest rate and how the error was corrected. We verified Borrower's monthly payment amount as of June 2022, and confirmed that no negative reporting of Borrower's loan has occurred since January 2020. Finally, we addressed Borrower's assertions of unethical and unfair business practices, and responded to Borrower's claim that we failed to deliver proper customer service etiquette. We consider the matter closed.
