Company Response

April 21st 2022: Staten Island Auto Repair orders engine and is told we have to special order it will be a few days before they receive. April 26th 2022: Engine delivered to Staten Island Auto Repair. May 12th 2022: Staten Island Auto Repair calls and says they lost job/engine is wrong. Our sales person proceeds to ask questions because we took their VIN# to ensure we gave correct part. Staten Island Auto Repair secretary first said engine was srong, then it came out they lost job. We ask for Staten Island Auto Repair to bring it back to us considering they lost the job. A few phone calls went back and forth and result they did not bring back and we are told to pickup. May 23rd 2022. We pick up engine to be returned to vendor we purchased from. Contract/Warranty states no refund on specialty ordered parts. To be fair our salesperson offered customer 25% restock fee to cover our cost of supplying the merchandise that they no longer needed. They were not happy with that, so we offered a full credit on account to used towards future purchases. They are a regular customer so it seemed fair to say they would use it in a reasonable time frame. June 17th 2022: I Kevin Cioffi, spoke with owner from Staten Island Auto Repair, he expressed the issues he was having with his customer and his staff. After a few minutes on the phone I agreed to give him a full refund an look forward to future dealings with them. Copy of our warranty & refund check also sent to BCA for review.
