I am filing a complaint against Ackerman as this company sent me an invoice on 11/1/21 for $192.26 and I cancelled my service with them in Feb of 2021 and I DID NOT SIGN any documents for new service since then. After I cancelled my service on 2/16/21, I called Ackerman on 10/26/21 and spoke to someone in the loyalty department and requested a wireless upgrade at no cost to me. The person said we can have someone come out and install the wireless upgrade. The technician came out on 11/10/21 and stated that the wireless upgrade you want is going to cost you money out of my pocket. I told the tech , Mr. Beech or Beach, that the your rep stated that it wasn't going to cost me anything and the tech said it wasn't anything he can do and that I will have to call Ackerman because I can't install that wireless system.. I told him I will just go to ADT and that is what I did and it was installed on 12/20/21. Nothing was installed by Ackerman. I did not sign a document verifying new service. On 1/ 17/ 22 at 10 am , I received a text stating that I have a past due balance of $192.26 for acct # 96312. Please note this was the first text I received after the tech came to my home and didn't install what I requested - a wireless upgrade. I was UPSET!! I spoke to Jasmine at Ackerman on 1/21/22 and Dee on 2/2/22 and told both of them that I cancelled service in 2/21 and I received a text on 1/17/22 and an invoice via mail stating I owe that amount. I told both of them that Resolution Sought My desire income is not to pay the past due balance of $288.39. The tech never installed the wireless system which I requested and I did not sign any documents for service when I requested the wireless upgrade on 10/26/21 and when the tech was at my house confirming he couldn't install the wireless system, I told him I am going to contact ADT. Besides that, my ADT rep , Dave Wiley, and he is confused on how I received an additional bill being that ADT was installed on 12/20/21.
