The company did not fulfill their promise to monitor or provide quality service my system stayed off more then it stayed on . So I feel that the bill should be wiped out or cut in half. Resolution Sought Final bill should be wiped out because they did not provide the services they were paid for

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the consumer complaint filed with your office by Ms. Williams against ADT LLC, dba ADT Security Services ("ADT"). By way of background, Ms. Williams asserts that her system did not work more often than it worked. Ms. Williams requests that ADT either waive the balance or adjust it by 50%. This matter was assigned to an ADT Executive Customer Relations representative. The representative reviewed the account and spoke to Ms. Williams. Ms. Williams advised the representative that she believed the balance of $171.31 should be waived based on her poor experience trying to get a technician to go to her home in January. Areview of the account showed that ADT orginally tried to resolve a power issue with the keypad via a virtual service call. When that was unsuccessful a technician was scheduled to go to Ms. Williams' home on January 21, 2025. However, due to inclement weather the appointment needed to be scheduled and ADT called Ms. Williams to advise her and left a voicemail. ADT agents contacted Ms. Williams on January 22, 2025 and January 23, 2025 to reschedule the service visit. Ms. Williams separately called ADT on January 22, 2025 and said she wanted to cancel her account because the technician did not show up for the appointment or call her to say he wasn't coming. That agent advised Ms. Williams of the reason the technician did not arrive, and that ADT tried to reschedule the service visit. The agent processed the cancelation request. The ADT Executive Customer Relations representative spoke with Ms. Williams on March 5,2025 and as a goodwill courtesy waived the balance of $171.31. Ms. Williams is satisfied with this resolution. I am having a difficult time canceling my ADT service. I have been calling them for the last month. They won't cancel my service with them. I started service with ALder in 2020 and have been a faithful customer since. Alder changed my service to ADT last year without my consent. I do not have a signed contract with ADT.
