A tow truck driver called me a B***h ass n****r for blowing my horn and later blocked traffic and approached my vehicle. I called the company he said I was wasting his time and hung up on me. Only to later call me back to be rude once more and offer to suspend or fire the driver after a failed attempt at justifying his disgusting racial slur toward me. Resolution Sought I want a written or email acknowledgement and apology from the driver and owner David.

Company Response

Advance Towing Employees were performing a lawful tow on July 13, 2022 around 4pm. The tow involved a 40' trailer with proper escort using all required safety features and signals. The vehicles were going eastbound on Seminary Road approaching the intersection of N. Beauregard St. in Alexandria. A tow of this nature requires a speed limit of 25 mph. A woman driving a silver Ford escape was driving behind the Advance Towing vehicles. She was clearly upset at having to drive behind the towing vehicles. She began honking non-stop. At the next intersection, the female operating the silver Ford escape pulled up next to the towing vehicle. The Advance Towing driver rolled down his window and advised her that there was no need for honking or acting belligerently. In response, the female made obscene hand gestures and cursing repeatedly at the Advance Towing driver. Unfortunately, now having been honked at, giving "the finger" and cursed at, the driver lost his temper and used words that he sincerely regrets. Sadly, the driver of the silver Ford didn't let up there. She began actively following the towing vehicles and driving erratically in an extremely unsafe manner. She continued following them to a local Quarles fuel station, got out and started recording. The Advance Towing driver replied, "stop this road rage" and "why are you following me?" She obtained the number of Advance Towing and started making harassing phone calls and began leaving bad reviews online which specifically omitted her starting and escalating the entire road-rage incident. A representative of Advance Towing contacted her by phone to attempt to resolve it. His attempt was met with hostility. The woman then lied about recording the call. The Advancing Towing rep again asked if it could be resolved and she continued to be unpleasant, demanding that he specifically state what he did wrong without acknowledging her culpability. His attempt at resolution failed. The woman continued her campaign of harassment after the fact, including going to Advance Towing's facility and interrupting various employees' work. She continued to leave reviews and complaints with various government entities and consumer reporting companies and, as usual, omitted the fact that she started and continued to perpetuate the entire "road-rage" incident. Finally, fearing this woman's threatening conduct, a representative of Advance Towing contacted law enforcement to get it to end.
