I contacted this agency to get my taxes done. Clarice was the initial contact person who also arranged the appointment. On the day of the appointment, I met with the owner/tax preparer, Rose Harbaugh. She took all of my paper work and informed me the fee would be $200.00, and it was to be paid up front. She agreed to a payment arrangement when I explained I could not pay the whole amount, and accepted a $50.00 check. I left with the understanding that she would prepare the taxes as soon as possible. I emailed her two months later to check the status of the taxes, and she emailed that after she receives the remaining $150.00, she would file my taxes. She also mailed an invoice increasing the fee to $300.00 and a consent form for her to receive the refund check, if there is one. I then emailed her that I could not afford her services, and I did not consent to her receiving my refund check. I also asked her when I could pick up my documents and get my $50.00 back? She claimed she did not refund for completed work. A week later, I was able to come up with $150.00, and I informed Clarice that I will come in to pay it in cash. Clarice agreed that I could come in the following day to pay, and she would go over the tax information. She then cancelled two hours before the appointment, due to the heat, requesting that I pay by credit card. When I refused, she went off on me. She was rude, demeaning and unprofessional. I was denied access to Ms. Harbaugh and the property. Resolution Sought I would like my $50.00 and tax information back if the taxes were not completed. If they were completed, I want to have a review and to sign and mail the hard copy myself. I do not want it sent electronically. I also want all of my documents back. I would also like an apology from Clarice due to her rude behavior and lack of professionalism.
