This business seems like a scam and when you try to call, they start asking for perosnal information that scam artist use!!!
Got a bill from them, but had never heard of them before! My insurance company pays 100% for labs. Looking over my EOB from insurance, discovered this linked to something they had paid already. When I called Affiliated pathologist medical group, I gave them the account number, name, address, and declined to give my DOB as they seemed like a scam. They person then states they can't help me unless they verify who I am.....???calling about a bill and have given them the account number associated with it. They then indicate the address is incorrect??? This is the same address they have sent the bill to. When I ask if they have a certain old address old their file they say yes(mind you the bill has come to the correct address) I ask for them to change to the correct address which is where they sent the bill, she refused unless I gave my Date of birth. Again, you can understand why I suspect them as being sketchy and fraudulent. I declined to give my Date of birth and she indicates she can't help me without it. My benefits center indicates they have paid this group.....so the question remains are they even a legitimate company, are they sketchy and trying to double bill, or is this a complete scam and fraud???? When a consumer calls and gives enough verification, a business shouldn't be trying to obtain date of birth and more(my questions pertained to a bill they sent that had an account number on it) I was trying to figure out what a bill was for. Unfortunately can't leave less than 1 star, sketchy business, poor customer service!!!!

I was told no out-of-pocket expenses. 3 months later, I get a bill from Affiliated Pathologists Medical Group.
I had a procedure done at a local hospital and was assured by my hospital AND insurance company that everything was covered with no out-of-pocket expenses. Then, 3 months later I get a bill from Affiliated Pathologists Medical Group and a Dr Dustin Shackleton for $510 for a tissue exam and panel. I called my insurance; they were never billed for it. Called the hospital; they said EACH PROVIDER HAS THE RIGHT TO CHARGE YOU AND NOT YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY. They chose to bill me and then, when I called, they lied and said Adventist Hospital never gave them insurance information, even though I was never billed by anyone else for any other part of my procedure. But they said they would bill my insurance now, so...? Start billing insurance companies instead of individuals. You have the insurance info, but choose not to bill them because they'd pay less than you're billing for. Stop making people think they're insurance didn't cover their medical costs; it's very dishonest.
